From dawn watches of Birds of Paradise to deep dives in the Coral Triangle’s crown jewel â we craft exceptional Papua experiences for discerning travellers.
Raja Ampat â The Last Paradise on Earth
Raja Ampat sits at the apex of the Coral Triangle, the global centre of marine biodiversity. These 1,500 islands scattered across 40,000 square kilometres of cerulean sea harbour more species of reef fish, coral, and marine mammals than anywhere else on Earth.
Whether you are a passionate diver, a wildlife photographer, or simply someone who seeks genuine remoteness and beauty, Raja Ampat is the destination that will redefine your understanding of paradise.

What Our Guests Say
Watching a Wilson’s Bird of Paradise perform its courtship display at dawn from a hide in the Waigeo forest is the single greatest wildlife experience of my life. Papua Bird of Paradise made it happen flawlessly.
Our 10-day Raja Ampat liveaboard exceeded every expectation. 47 dive sites, manta rays, walking sharks, and a pristine Wayag sunrise. The crew was exceptional. Already planning our return trip.
Our private yacht charter through Raja Ampat for our anniversary was absolute perfection. Misool’s hidden lagoons, sunset cocktails at Wayag â this is how paradise should be experienced.
Frequently Asked Questions
Where is the best place to see Bird of Paradise in Papua?
The best places to see Birds of Paradise in Papua include Waigeo Island in Raja Ampat (Wilson’s Bird of Paradise), Arfak Mountains near Manokwari (Vogelkop varieties), Batanta Island, and the forests around Sorong. Each location offers different species, with Wilson’s Bird of Paradise being the most sought-after due to its extraordinary iridescent plumage and limited range. Dawn watches from purpose-built hides offer the highest success rates.
What is the best season for a Raja Ampat liveaboard?
The best season for a Raja Ampat liveaboard is October to April, when the northwest monsoon brings calm seas and excellent visibility. October to January is peak season with 20-30m visibility and highest marine activity. October to December is ideal for manta rays. May to September brings the southeast monsoon with rougher conditions in the north, but the southern regions around Misool remain excellent year-round.
How do I get to Raja Ampat from Bali?
To get to Raja Ampat from Bali, fly from Ngurah Rai International Airport (DPS) to Domine Eduard Osok Airport in Sorong (SOQ) with a transit in Makassar, Jakarta, or Manado â approximately 5-7 hours total. From Sorong, take a speedboat (2-3 hours) or ferry to Waisai, the gateway to Raja Ampat. We handle all transfers and logistics as part of our packages.
What is the Raja Ampat entry permit and how much does it cost?
The Raja Ampat Marine Entry Permit (RAMT) costs IDR 1,000,000 per person (approximately USD 65) for foreign visitors and is valid for 12 months. The permit supports local conservation and community programs. We arrange the permit as part of all our Raja Ampat packages â you simply need to bring your original passport to the permit office in Waisai upon arrival.
Is Raja Ampat suitable for non-divers?
Absolutely. Raja Ampat offers extraordinary experiences for non-divers: world-class snorkeling directly from beaches and boats, kayaking through mangroves, Bird of Paradise watching expeditions, cultural visits to Arborek and Sawinggrai villages, hiking to viewpoints above the karst formations, and simply relaxing on some of the world’s most pristine beaches. Our liveaboards and yacht charters cater to mixed groups of divers and non-divers equally well.
